OUR STORY

STAY HELPER was created to bring together a growing collection of historic properties under one brand.  Which includes lodging experiences, gathering spaces, & residences, all preservation projects throughout Helper.

The journey began with the restoration of a single historic building in 2016, The Historic Conoco Station, and has expanded into a portfolio of boutique hotels, residences, gathering places, vintage landmarks, and community destinations throughout town. From the Newhouse Hotel and Key Suites to Vintage Motor Company, Stay Helper Gifts & Gallery, The Helper Flea Market, and more each project plays a role in enhancing Helper's unique character.

As these projects accumulated, Gary and Malarie created STAY HELPER to be the umbrella that connected them all.  Creating a place online and brand where visitors could easily identify the properties, experiences, and stories that make Helper special.

Today, they continue that mission together. Gary leads the restoration and preservation of the physical spaces, while his wife Malarie oversees the operations, marketing, and infrastructure that help bring these places to life for visitors and the community.

While the name indeed does reflect the lodging offerings, it also represents something bigger: a commitment to maintaining the nostalgia, architecture, and spirit that makes Helper special.

As Helper continues to grow and evolve, our goal is simple:

STAY HELPER.
